Vantage Logistics has completed the transport of two oversized transformers from Hai Phong, Viet Nam to Durban, South Africa – a technically demanding intercontinental shipment requiring strict operational control and specialised handling.
 
With a combined weight exceeding 112 tonnes and complex cargo specifications, the project required advanced lifting solutions, continuous safety supervision, and disciplined schedule management to safeguard both equipment integrity and client timelines.

1. Optimised Transport Method
To balance cost efficiency and transit reliability, Vantage proposed breakbulk shipment on a container vessel. This approach allowed the client to utilise stable and frequent mainline sailings while ensuring safe accommodation for oversized and overweight cargo.

Lashing and securing operations were conducted under strict international safety standards:
